Grateful Sunday

This Sunday, I'm grateful for:

• everything I learned at church today. Even though I was substituting in the childrens' class today, I was able to learn a lot about repentance and give some thought as to how the principle applies in my life.
• the part of the song, "There is a Green Hill Far Away" that goes like this: "Oh dearly, dearly has He loved, and we must love Him, too. And trust in His redeeming love and try His works to do." Just love that.
• Natalie and Jay, who watched ALL THREE of our kids this evening, in the midst of the crazy day they were having, so we could have a little "date." Okay, it was actually a memorial service for our nice old lady neighbor*, but still. We got to hold hands and talk to grown-ups.
• my parents, who are coming to see us! Just in time for t-ball, preschool open house, more t-ball, and a birthday party. We won't be bored.

Some goals for the week:

1. Organize the pantry. Again.
2. Clean the car(s).
3. Plant pretty flowers.
4. Why are all of my "goals" always housework-related?
5. Oh! I get to buy Parker a bike for his birthday. That will be fun.

*this wonderful lady also happened to have been a nurse on the front lines during WWII and helped liberate two concentration camps. Wow.
