Grateful Sunday

This Sunday, I'm grateful for:
  • my new church calling on the activities committee. It's wonderful to have a non-Sunday calling! It makes for enjoyable church meetings when you don't have to stress about preparing something or standing in front of other people! Plus, who doesn't love a party?
  • Miles' new-found ability to scoot himself all over the floor. He gets completely worn out and his little red head gets all sweaty, but the best part is that has made for longer naps this week, a great blessing and a vast improvement over the 20-minute rests he was counting before!
  • thunder and lightning. I was not looking forward to solo-parenting yesterday. Neal was at work and we had a t-ball game, a fun run, and a school carnival, plus a trip to the grocery store avec trois enfants. The big storm cancelled all but the store. We were able to stay in our pajamas and I actually sort of caught the Saturday General Conference sessions! (Even though that meant bringing the laptop with me into the kitchen while I made macaroni, etc.) And the kids didn't even mind staying home. What angels.
  • my two indulgences this week: a mani-pedi on Thursday. (I finally redeemed a gift certificate I received at my baby shower um, 6 months ago.) And my opportunity to sleep in until eight blessed thirty this morning. Thanks to that gem of a husband that I have.
  • this video and the baby accessory that makes hundreds of Miles' delightful squeals possible.

Goals for this week:

1. Fly across the country with my three kiddoes in tow and maintain my composure on the airplane.
2. Eat at Ruby's.
3. Try to get Olibo to hug me.

Love those bouncy things. Oliver was the only one that ever got to use one (our other houses/apartments didn't have the right kind of door) and he LOVED it!

I want to bounce too - if only they made adult size ones - now that's a funny thought.

Loved that video. It looked like Miles was going to bounce his little head right off. So cute.

Miles is cute. Sophie hasn't gotten into her bouncer yet.

Here's to rained out baseball games. The occasional break is very nice.
