Computer Problems

Our computer is not happy to see us since we've been home. It won't even boot up really, and I am very very afraid that something serious has happened. We left it unplugged while we were gone, in case there was a thunderstorm power surge, which is common here, so it's safe from that, but what is the matter with it? I am really worried about all of my family history files and my recipe storage program, not to mention the pictures and documents. Here's hoping for a solution, soon.

Alas, I am unable to post any pictures of our fabulous trip. We had so much fun with cousins and friends, and of course, Brama and Pa. Their new house has such a peaceful feeling, with ocean breezes coming up the valleys right into the family room, and a view to soothe your mind. The kids loved the new playroom and the "book room." We spent a great day at Disneyland, in all of its happiness. A trip to the old mission at San Juan Capistrano, three visits to Ruby's, a nice visit with my fun grandparents, a pedicure with my sis, and a skip in the Pacific rounded out the trip. Hopefully pictures are soon to come. Thank heavens we can at least get on the internet via Neal's laptop!

Unfortunately, Neal and I are both very computer illiterate, and so we are trying the old unplug, reboot, let it rest for a while tricks, but they're not working. Dad, where are you? We may be calling.

That is a bummer. If you get your computer working again, go to amazon.com and buy a 100mb external drive where you can back up your computer. It costs about $100, but it's well worth it, and it should have enough room to back up both of your computers. They make them very easy to use now...just plug it into your computer, push a button and it sucks out all the info and stores it in a safe place for when your hard drive crashes. Because your hard drive will eventually crash, if you use it long enough. Good luck getting it up and running again!

We loved seeing you and can't wait for our next visit!

So sorry about the computer. I worry about mine all the time. Hope it works out OK. You should call the Geek Squad:) (mostly cause the commercials are funny).

I am so sorry. Before you go crazy call someone to look at it. There must be someone there who services computers.
It was so good to visit with you and be able to actually give you and those wonderful children big hugs. What a surprise to see Neal and give him a hug too. Love you all so much.

Les... I'm so sorry to hear about your computer! I've had that happen and it is such a bummer... and I know enough about computers to be dangerous, but sometimes can't get myself anywhere, so it's really frustrating! I was missing you and Natalies fun entries.(be expecting an entry on my blog soon about the 5 (f-i-v-e) different household item/appliances that went bezerk at our house this weekend... what a day! Glad your back! We'll have to come play soon!Did you see Natalie at Disneyland?

I wish we had known you all were going to California... I would have rather gone there and seen you than go to Utah in a couple of weeks... then we could have seen everyone...

computer problems are the absolute worst inconvenience EVER. It frightens me to think of how addicted I am to mine, so I feel your pain, a few days removed! :D
