My Robin

This is my Robin in his very homemade costume, which was finished yesterday. We made the cape and shorts and fashioned the mask out of an old Chuck-E-Cheese prize. He is so very proud of himself looking so much like Robin. It's really quite cute, I must say. I told him maybe Daddy can be Batman for Halloween and he can be Robin. He got so excited about that until I said I would be Catwoman, and then he said I can't because she's a bad guy. Oh well, he'll most likely be obsessed with something completely different by then, anyway.

In baby news, I went to the Dr. yesterday and he told me that due to the amount of unwanted contractions my body has had of late, I need to a) sit or lie down any time I have the chance and b) sip water all day. Apparently preterm contractions often accompany dehydration (and an annoyingly sensitive uterus). I was so good about drinking water earlier in my pregnancy, but I must admit I have slacked in that department. Have you ever tried to force yourself to lay on the couch when you can think of a million things that need to be done? Not fun, very hard. But alas, this is the course my pregnancies always take. So now I have to try to explain to Audrey and Parker why sometimes I need to just rest like a lump on a log. Somehow the reasons just don't matter that much when you're 3 or 5. You just want your mommy to play!

That costume is adorable! My boys will be so jealous. :)

Sorry about the contractions and you having to rest and drink more water. I try to drink a lot, but at the same time, I get sooo tired of going to the bathroom that it can be hard to keep drinking.
I hope you're able to rest and that it helps. I know as soon as I sit down my boys need something. :)

Parker looks so great- you did a good job. Neal and Parker will be a great Halloween team. Sorry you have to rest so much but then you should anyway. Soon enough you will be super busy. I fill a pitcher with water and leave it on the counter( 2 qts) and know that I have to finish all of it before bedtime.Love you

that costume is so cute! parker looks so happy as robin. i am sad that we won't see you at sundance. but that little baby of yours needs you to lay down until he/she is ready to come. no more sewing adorable costumes or capes for your kids. got it?

Sorry about being a bump on a log. I know how it feels. And I can't really explain to Mia that Mommy wants to barf every time she stands up. Luckily, I got drugs from my Doc yesterday...hopefully it will help. Keep that baby nice and warm and enjoy the rest!

LOVE the costume! I always put a little lemon or lime to help me "want" to drink more water. But it's a hard balance... laying down drinking water a lot, but getting up to go to the bathroom a lot. How do you win?!! Luckily it won't be much longer =)

Parker, I mean Robin, is so cute! Have you tried adding sliced up cucumbers to your water? It is the best! I had it for the first time at this fancy day spa and I'm hooked. Otherwise, I hate to drink water! Take care of that sweet baby. We can't wait to meet him/her. (I'm kind of thinking it's a him!)
Love,
Georgia
