V is for Verdant
I mentioned earlier that my favorite color is green. Well, my favorite landscape would look something like this. Thankfully, it's very green where I live. We get about 50 inches of rain each year, and each month receives about equal amounts. So it's lovely, verdant & lush all year long. I love that about living here. Even in the dead of summer (and believe me, it feels like death), there is at least life outside the window. So often in the middle of July, it LOOKS like a beautiful day, even if it's quite unbearable once you step outside. So hooray for trees, grass, green, green moss & lots of waterways to reflect it all!
photograph by irene suchocki & found here. looks like an old Louisiana plantation. i love it.

SO dreamy and lovely. oh and you hooked me on Voluminous mascara - love it, too!
if i could describe the metropolitan phoenix area in one word, it would definitely be verdant.
(i'm still holding out for phoenix, obviously. and i'm hoping lincoln doesn't get into ucsf.)
I can't believe the alphabet if almost over already! But I'm looking forward to the next few letters...
That's one thing I always notice about places we visit; the greenery. Portland is gorgeous but I don't have the temperament to deal with all the rain required.
I love the desert where I live but we did deliberately choose the one neighborhood around here with grass parking strips and deciduous trees. It's such an oasis.
do not get your hopes up for the final letters, dear friends. they are pretty lame. it is freakin' hard to think of stuff for xyz.
try it. :)
Wow. Now THAT is green. I'd love to take portraits in a place like that!!! And happy anniversary! :)
