visitors

We had a few fun visitors this week, and one not-so-fun visit from the stomach flu. Poor Audrey was down for the count for a couple of days. Her little body is on the mend, and I'm hoping she makes it through the school day without feeling too bad.
Stephanie and Mike came through town for 24 hours, on their way home from Mexico, on Monday! We ate very well while they were here. Texas BBQ for lunch and Babe's Fried Chicken House for dinner. Stephanie gave Miles a much-needed haircut, and then accompanied me to book club. It was fun to introduce her to my friends! I just wish we could be together more often. Spring Break can't come soon enough!

Last night, my dad had a quick 2 hour layover here in Dallas, so the boys and I picked up him and brought him home. A quick bowl of soup, a good Mitt discussion, and a few hugs later, we took him back to the airport.

Today, Parker has DI, then we're off to piano, then home for homework and baths. Every once in a while, I am so grateful that my kids are still relatively young. That they're all in bed at a reasonable hour, and that they are still under our wings. I know that once they are in middle school, nights get later, homework and church activities become more time-consuming, and life gets a bit more complicated. Let's hear it for the simple life.

Also, Stephanie took this picture of my house and I think it's so pretty that I had to share it. Thanks, Steph!
