Grateful Sunday

Me and the birthday boy, at dinner in Southlake Saturday night.

This week has been nice, though I could have done without the sick kids. At least we had a couple of nice, quiet days at home in the rain! Today, I'm grateful for:
  • a wonderful Stake Relief Society conference last night. I loved the messages and the music and came away so grateful, feeling loved and uplifted. As it should be.
  • the restart of Institute. I haven't been to an adult class at church in approximately ten years (I'm not even kidding), so humor me and be excited that I get to go to Institute on Thursday mornings. I genuinely look forward to it.
  • the absence of my other blog in my life. I feel a sort of urgency to recenter my life at the moment, and refraining from blogging there (and therefore refraining from much blog-reading in general), has felt very right. I'm working on focusing very wholeheartedly on my faith, my family and what goes on in my home.
  • Neal, who celebrated a birthday today by spending a good 8 hours at church. He's a good man, I am so blessed to be by his side.
  • time with Steph, Mike and my dad last week. That made for some happy days.
