After a bit of shopping around and some time trying on items which turned out to look silly, I settled on this cute (but unfortunately summery) top, which I won't be wearing until March,

and these very pretty earrings, which I just might wear tomorrow.
I'm saving the rest of my money for Springtime, when I can find things that I can actually wear in Texas. Sweaters are hardly ever necessary; it's hard to justify buying another. After a delicious dinner at La Madeleine, courtesy of my dear friend, we headed home to face the world again. Oh, what a little shopping won't cure. Well, it won't cure a sinus infection, but cabin fever: all gone. Thanks Natalie for sharing a wonderful night with us!
