Rain Rain


It was very rainy last week and the kids decided to go out and live it up. They were in the backyard for about 45 minutes and when they were done, they were soaked to the bone. They had so much fun.

That is so cute. It reminds me of a picture of my brother and I when I was about 7 and my family lived in Biloxi Mississippi... We had been playing out in the rain in our yellow coke-a-cola rain coats and we were covered in the orange, clay like Mississippi mud, I can almost smell it if I close my eyes. So fun to be a kid who has just enjoyed the thrill of playing in the rain... many thanks to our parents who let us explore our wonderful world!

love it - only those who have experienced our fabulous rain storms can truely appreciate it, right? something we are really going to miss when we leave...kinda like England, you know? our professors told us right off that if we didn't do well with gray and wet, that we wouldn't ever love England - to get the fabulous green, you have to have the wet. EMBRACE THE GREEN WET!

Your kids are so cute! Sometimes it's hard to let them go outside to do something like that, because I know I'll have some type of mess to clean up, but it's great to let them play!
