Audrey had her first experience with organized athletics on Wednesday. She had a great time and to all of our surprise, she wasn't the only girl on her team! On the team roster there was a kid named Hampton, who we assumed was a boy. She's not! Yay! Audrey was really glad to have another girl to kick around with. She did a great job and can't wait until next practice!

Yea for Audrey - look how cute she looks, dispite the Darth Vader cleats! That first shot of her is so cute - great compisition, Leslie!!
cute! but what were Hampton's parents thinking when they decided to name her that? i am glad there is another girl on the team, though. i am sure audrey will love it! keep us posted throughout the season!
Hampton...? Won't the kids call her Ham? or Ton? Oh boy. I hope Audrey enjoys soccer! James loved it!
It's probably some old family name... or maybe some super sentimental location for their family.
That's awesome though. Girls that play soccer are pretty much way cool!
Hampton reminds me of Megan when she started playing with the "soccer" logo on the shorts and hair bows! I think I would have had fun at sports if I had ever tried... yeah for another Horn girl to break that tradition.
Girl's soccer is huge here. Audrey would fit right in. Im sure she will take to the sport like a fish to water. Naming a child whether a he or a she "Hampton" in Minnesota would get you "Foghorned." Her mother would be accused of "doodleing" during high school study hall. I better not say anymore. I am astounded at the names some parents hang on their children. Im sure Hampton is a terrific girl.
