Kid Books

We have at least 300 children's books in our house. They're pretty much my favorite thing to buy; I can't ever say no when it comes to books, and hence, we have a million. But, they last much longer than toys, and they're usually cheaper, too! We have a very extensive collection, and we love to read! Here is a teeny little sampling:

This is Miles' new favorite thing to stare at. This is the best little book; even newborn babies can see the shapes and there are no words. I flip through it over and over and he loves it! It sends his little arms flailing, legs kicking, and eyes widening. There's another one called "Black on White."

This is Parker's current favorite:

One of Audrey's recent reads:

This is one I really like, especially at this time of year. It's about a little girl who is sent to the store on Thanksgiving to get whipped cream for the pumpkin pie. It has really cute illustrations, and a very simple story.

Happy Reading!

We love books too, but our collection is not quite as large (yet!). I will have to get that Thanksgiving book. Mia's favorite right now is "Pants off First!" by Ruth Ohi. We got it at the bookstore and it is about a boy that is undressing for bed, but his pets want to wear his clothes. The cat ends up with his undies and then he is complete nakey! She thinks it is soo funny when we see his little bum going downstairs to his parents' dinner party to tell them he is ready for bed!

We have too many books- which is why I love the library so much. Checking books out and returning them, and then getting a new different book, all without spending money! It is my favorite place!

I'm with you Leslie - I have no problem buying books - the Children's Hospital has some cute ones I've never seen before so I'll pick one up every couple of weeks - it's an investment, right? :D I always add to my book shoppin list when I'm at your house - you are my kids books personal shopper!
