We Need Life Alert

Poor Audrey, home sick with a fever today and missing one of the last days of school. Today, she's missing the coloring contest in her class, and, since coloring is one of her absolute favorite things to do, I didn't tell her about that. Instead, she was watching cartoons this morning on the couch, and when I got out of the shower, she told me all about how we need to get this cool thing called Life Alert, because "if you don't want to talk to the emergency people, you can just push the button on the Life Alert and they just come."

Now my kids ask for anything and everything they see on commercials, one of the many reasons we don't let them watch very much TV. But Life Alert? What poor Life Alert target customer is watching Scooby Doo at 8:30 on a Tuesday morning?

Anyway, hopefully Audrey feels better by tomorrow. It's sidewalk chalk and bubbles day.

I LOVE that picture. I wanted my hair to be that color so bad! Unfortunately I'm back to the weird burgundy again! AHHH... note to Audrey... red hair is tough to color. We'll just have to age gracefully.

Adorable picture! Today we had Kindergarten Awards, tomorrow we have field day.

This morning on the way to school B informed me that you are an adult when you are 18, and that's why you have to be 18 to call and order moon sand. (she got it for her b-day anyway, so I don't know why she was concerned). I'm with you on limiting TV time, for that very reason.

Isabel said we need to get some "roll out flowers" or something. I don't know. It was a commercial she saw, but we need it!

no fun having sick kiddos - keep me posted as to how tomorrow looks. she looks so great in that photo - just where she belongs - in a beautiful green garden with her fabulous red hair! I seriously LOVE taking photos of that little girl.
