This weekend, we went yet again to browse the books, play with the Thomas table, and have some nice family time in a quiet place. Neal and I thumbed through a baby name book, wherein (What a Pa word, wherein. Love you dad!) we found a couple new "maybes." Parker found a Batman book that made sound, and Audrey had a terrible time deciding on which book to take home. She finally settled on Rosemary Wells' Max's Chocolate Chicken. Parker took home Curious George Has a Dream, since we don't really like making-sound books in our house. Ever since we saw that adorable Curious George movie, (which I highly recommend, as there is not one ounce of trying-to-be-funny-adult-humor), Parker has a new favorite character. We're not complaining, at least Curious George doesn't fight any bad guys.

hey leslie, over christmas neal was asking me what this one piece of piano music was and i said i thought it was chopin but we couldn't find it. anyway- i have forgotten exactly what piece he hummed, but if i remember correctly, i just heard it on one of my chopin cds and it's the polonaise in a-flat major, opus 53. tell him to check it out- i'm pretty sure it's the one he had mentioned to me!
oh wait- a new piece just came up, and now i think it was this one he hummed to me- tell him to try the polonaise in A major, opus 40 no. 1 "military" as well. it's bound to be one of the two- although i think now it was this one.
and happy 170th anniversary of the alamo as well you crazy texans!
Amen to curious george as a favorite character! My boys like the movie and the books, but they are into the justice league right now so they're constantly fighting "bad guys."

Leslie, Mom and I took you up on your date to B&N. We went tonight before going to dinner with the CEO that we brought into Oxford. It was a hoot and very crowded. Maybe a lot of folk in the OC are reading your blog, because it was really really crowded.
